Highlands Lodge is situated in the peaceful, up-market area of Aurora, Durbanville, in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. With easy access to the entire Peninsula, Highlands Lodge is the place to hang your hat whether for business or pleasure.

Graham is a registered tourist guide and will gladly assist you with guided tours or information regarding the Western Province if required.

Accommodation

The well appointed, individually decorated en-suite units have separate entries from the park-like garden affording guests that extra privacy. Enjoy the abundant bird life while listening to the relaxing sound of running water from the rather unique water-feature, from under the umbrellas on the sun-drenched patio, or in the Jacuzzi under the thatched lapa. The units have a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities, under-counter fridge and microwave. The rooms are equipped with telephones, fans, hairdriers, televisions, etc. The information booklet in each unit contains a wealth of information about the establishment, the area, where to go and what to do when in Cape Town.

Wi-Fi internet connectivity is available to our guests free of charge. Should guests not have their own laptop a computer is available for their use.

We offer the DSTV Hotel Bouquet in all our rooms with individual decoders as well as BBC Entertainment M-Net Series, CNN, Bloomberg, National Geographic and Teletrack.

There is ample secure on-site parking.

Breakfasts

The sumptuous farm-style breakfast is served buffet style. After enjoying the freshly home made fruit salad, fill up with a choice of cereals, yogurt, sausage, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, toast with honey or jam, cheese, a choice of fruit juices and tea or coffee. An ideal way to start your day.

Conference Venues

Highlands Lodge offers conference facilities for a maximum of 16 delegates. The versatile tables can be set up in a number of combinations to seat from 4 to 16 delegates in U shape, cinema or boardroom style. The Venue has a 71cm quality TV with a Video and DVD Player, a flip chart / white board and screen. Overhead projector and/or data projector available by arrangement.

An extensive menu is on offer catering for Halal, Kosher and Vegetarian diners as well and those who are health conscious.

Area Amenities

The Aurora Shopping Center is a five minute walk away and, amongst other things, has a coffee shop, Italian restaurant, pharmacy, hairdresser, Super Spar, video shop, internet café, Planet Fitness and Curves Ladies cardio and strength training club, take-away outlets, bottle store, etc.

Highlands Lodge is approximately 5 minutes from the famous TygerValley and Willowbridge Shopping Centers and even closer to Durbanville Town Centre where you will find a village atmosphere with all the benefits of city living.

Location

A 5 minute drive will bring you to the first of the 11 Wine Estates that form the Durbanville Valley Wine Route. These Estates produce some of the best wines in the country a result of our ideal climate. Visitors can enjoy wine tasting and meals at a choice of 11 Estates, from the largest and most modern to the smaller Estates that have been in the same family for centuries.

Durbanville is geographically in the centre of the Peninsula with easy access to Blouberg, V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Gardens, Gordon’s Bay, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek. The excellent road infrastructure offers scenic drives through mountain passes and the West Coast where the desert blooms in season.
