Set amongst rolling hills, forests and grasslands and near Dullstroom is the very scenic Hartfell farm. The farm offers lovely walks, views and 3 well stocked trout dams for fly-fishing.
The farm is split in half by the Kruisfontein Road. The top section is mainly grassland and the lower developed section is mainly forest. This creates a different ambience to most other venues in the area. We cater for both the family getaway with peace and privacy and for the keen fisherman.
Self Catering Accommodation
There are 2 charming, fully furnished self-catering cottages available, each with their own character to suit different tastes. Each cottage is completely separate and set in stands of very old oak and Blackwood trees and therefore very private.

Activities and Attractions
There are various walks on the farm, notable the waterfall walk (to the base or to the top of the 30m fall, a river walk close to indigenous forest and the longer perimeter walks. These all offer something to bird enthusiasts, especially in the summer.
Parts of the Kruisfontein road are used for mountain bike races and joggers and mountain bikers alike enjoy the low traffic the road gets.
The area offers a wide variety of fauna and flora as a discussion with Piet, a nature enthusiast, will show. Fauna and flora include a number of nocturnal animals, interesting birds and several red data plant species.
Since the owners, Piet and Gill, are resident they are always available to help.
