I am always reticent to stay in guesthouses as I don’t want to feel that I’m intruding on the owners. Harrington House is really more like a small luxury hotel with magnificent rooms, lounge and dinning room separated from the main house. The rooms are spacious, very tastefully decorated with every luxury and the little touches that make certain places so great to stay at. Karen assisted by charming Lizzie are warm welcoming wonderful hostesses that attend to all your needs discretely. Thank you for my wonderful time in Langebaan. |

We have just returned from an amazing trip to South Africa. One of the highlights was staying for 5 nights at Harrision House in Langebaan - a well-deserved 5* B & B. We really did strike lucky! We chose the luxury Lagoon Room which had the most amazing views and was really lovely. Karen who runs the place really knows her stuff! Her eye for detail is incredible. We were totally spoilt from the wonderfully fluffy and huge towels (not out of place in the Ritz) and bathrobes to the lovely touches of fresh lavender wrapped around flannels. Quite simply nothing was less than perfect. Breakfast was a feast and beautifully presented and the pool area was gorgeous with comfortable loungers and towels and a well-equipped gym just off. Karen was ever attentive with advice which was always spot-on. She recommended a trip through the nature reserve and a stop at the amazing beaches and equipped us with a cool box, towels and sun parasol - even a sun hat!! If you are coming to Langebaan this is the BEST place to stay and if you do please do yourselves a favour and book the Lagoon Room. Finally special thans to Lizzy who greeted us when we arrived so warmly and with a cup of tea and a stunning smile!! |
