We are within walking distance of hotels, restuarants, as well as superb coffee shops to suit every taste. We are also in close proximity to the Gonubie business area. ACCOMMODATION

We have three, one bedroom units with showers in the bathroom and one, two bedroom unit with bath and shower in the bathroom. The units sleep from one to five persons. The bedrooms either have double or single beds with double sleeper couches in the living area. Each flat has a B&B DStv bouquet - (you are welcome to bring your own smart card). The kitchen has a fridge / freezer, microwave, two plate stove with oven, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware etc. All bedding is supplied as well as towels (not beach towels). All flats have private undercover braais surrounded by your own garden wall for privacy.

• Only small pets welcome by prior arrangement with management
• No motor vehicles to be washed on premises - several car washes available in Gonubie
• No washing facilities - several laundromats available in Gonubie

ACTIVITIES

Happy's Place if situated close to the bowling green, tennis courts, squash courts and a very well equipped and maintained gym. The Gonubie Golf Course is approximately 5km away with several other golf courses in the vicinity including the well known East London Golf Course, which is rated amongst one of the best in South Africa, an easy drive of 12 to 15km away.

Deep sea fishing as well as pleasure trips can be arranged at the East London Harbour. Fishing right at our door is a popular activity as well as water sport such as surfing, wind surfing, canoeing etc.

For young and old why not try the new putt putt course in Beacon Bay? A quick 15 minute drive from our cottages. For peace of mind, the Beacon Bay Life Hospital is only 20 minutes drive away. There is also an Intercare medical facility situated in Gonubie.

ATTRACTIONS

The Hemmingways Casino / Shopping Mall - one of the largest in the country - is only 15 minutes drive from Happy's Place. Also the East London Museum, famous for hosting the prehistoric Coelacanth Fish, is worth a visit as well as the Anne Bryant Art Gallery. The Lion Farm, where cubs are often fondled by children, a mere 15 minute drive away. The Guild Theatre, hosts shows most of the year as well as smaller theatres hosting popular and well known artists. Definitely worth a visit.

Mpongo Park, a game farm where you can watch the hippos wallowing in the pond while enjoying your Sunday lunch is a worthwhile trip. The now well known Jikeleza Route runs from outside Gonubie toward the east coast where the famous Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve hosts the Big Six - offering magnificent game drives, interaction with elephants and sightings of our very own Hump Back Whale, found nowhere else along the coast. The East London Zoo as well as the Aquarium can also be visited.

An extremely interesting tour through the Mercedes Benz factory can be arranged for a mind boggling experience.
