About Goodings Grove
Gooding’s Groves Olive Farm and Guest House in the Franschhoek winelands offer warm hospitality with a personal touch – an ideal four star getaway for couples. Surrounded by towering mountains, vineyards and mature olive trees this restored Cape Victorian manor house lies just three kilometers from the center of the historical village.
Relax in the comfort of any one of our eight en-suite guest rooms with outside entrances with panoramic views of the Drakenstein and Franschhoek Mountains, with the Wemmershoek Mountains.
Self Catering Villa
The Villa is a self-catering cottage with two en-suite rooms, private garden and swimming pool. The two Barn Suites situated on the dam are comfortable and spacious with limited self-catering facilities.
The spacious reception rooms offer wood burner stoves for colder weather and for a cooler more relaxed feel, folding glass doors open the dining room onto shaded patios, for the full majesty of our signature view of mountains, vineyards and groves.
Gooding’s Groves offers a luxury farm experience, typical of the Franschhoek way of life – a valley of splendid wines and culinary delights. Spectacular vineyards cover the mountain slopes settled over 300 years ago by the French Huguenots, who brought with them an age-old culture and appreciation of fine food and wine.
The atmosphere of this historical village never disappoints – a unique Cape treasure with its abundance of galleries, crafts, art and antique shops.
Less than 45 minutes from South Africa’s mother city, Cape Town, Franschhoek is also the ideal base to explore the Cape Winelands.
