The Free Spirit of Africa in Glencairn, Cape Town

The Free Spirit of Africa is situated between Fish Hoek and the Naval Village of Simon's Town, right opposite the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. Overlooking False Bay, it is close to shops, restaurants, hiking trails, a penguin colony, one of Cape Town's premier golf courses, cinemas and much more.

Being directly across the road from the beach and tidal pool, this is the perfect place for whale-watching (in season), kayaking, swimming, snorkeling, diving or simply lazing in the sun. It is also ideally positioned for the Cape Argus Cycle Tour and Two Oceans Marathon. The Free Spirit of Africa offers comfortable, self-catering accommodation where one can be assured of a relaxing holiday.

Accommodation

The Free Spirit of Africa consists of two fully equipped apartments and a cottage. One appartment and our cottage are decorated in a unique African and ocean theme respectively. The two large appartments have two double bedrooms, but can sleep up to eight people. DSTV is available in all units. There is a barbecue area at the swimming pool for guests to use at their leisure. All linen and pool towels are provided. Off road parking is available and the lock-up garage can be used to store bikes.

African Safari
This is an upstairs apartment with its own entrance and incredible sea views over False Bay. The spacious lounge decorated with African wildlife overlooks the bay. The cosy fire place is ideal for those chilly winter evenings. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and there is enough space for a single bed / cot to be added. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and the third bedroom single 1 bed. The kitchen is extremely spacious and contains all the modern amenities - fridge/freezer, stove, microwave etc.

Classic
This is an upstairs apartment with great sea views from the lounge area equipped with a fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern amenities - dishwasher, stove and microwave oven. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed with an en suite bathroom with both a bath and shower cubicle. A single bed or cot can be added to this room with space to spare. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and the third bedroom 2 single beds. This unit has a large main bathroom - shower cubicle aswell as a large bath.

Ocean Cottage
Our ocean decorated cottage has 1 double bed room with en suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a lounge with views across False Bay.
