This self-catering, garden apartment is sunny, bright and airy and its happy disposition will make you feel welcome, wanted and comfortable.

Kiahuna Garden Apartment is situated on Lagoon Drive, north of the Village, and is a three minute walk from the popular Bronze Beach with its Life Guards’ service and the O’Connor Promenade, which hugs the shoreline and sandy beach for some five km’s.

Self Catering Accommodation

Garden Apartment Kiahuna has two bedrooms, main-en-suite, sleeps four (one Queen size, two singles); two bathrooms, one with shower; free-flow kitchen, dining room, lounge, verandah with good partial sea views, garden furniture with large umbrella; a private, walled, colourful, grassed garden, safe for young children, which leads directly on to the communal pool, reserved for residents and guests.

Facilities

The apartment is fully furnished, is compact and easily maintained. The bedrooms are bright and tastefully attired and the bathrooms, which face north, are normally sun-filled.

The kitchen is well equipped with a four plate stove, fridge, microwave and washing machine; doors and windows throughout are fly-screened; the lounge and bedrooms are fitted with large ceiling fans; the 54cm DStv has excellent reception; the apartment and complex is well secured; the lock-up garage door is automated and extra parking is available.

Braai facilities are available for use either on the veranda, in the garden or in the pool area. The apartment is in a tidy, nine apartment complex at Kiahuna, 75 Lagoon Drive, west side (opposite Bermudas and Makakane, just north of The Sands and south of The Breakers). The main entrance is on the corner of Park Drive and Egret Lane. There is electronic access at the main gate and a pedestrian entrance to / from Lagoon Drive.

Please bring your own towels (bath and beach), all toiletries, liquids, soaps etc. A DStv smart card is provided for the ‘Compact Bouquet’. Guests who require access to DStv entire bouquet should bring their own smart card. Regrettably pets are not allowed. Also smoking is permitted only outside the apartment.

Attractions and Activities

A walk along the promenade or on the beach towards the Lighthouse offers many attractions, e. g. a beach-side café, restaurants, hotels with fun attractions for children, signs for deep sea fishing, dolphin viewing, scuba diving / snorkeling, micro-lighting, wind surfing and much more.

Umhlanga and its environs have everything you need for a fun-filled holiday: well-stocked shopping centers at the Village, La Lucia Mall and Gateway Centre (the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere). The new King Shaka Airport is 15 minutes away, Durban City 20 kilometres and there are many first class golf courses in Durban North, Mt Edgecombe and Zimbali.; the Casino complex, the Hawaan Nature Forest, lush tropical vegetation and beautiful gardens, many churches, an ultra-modern hospital, and surf, sand and sun and then some!
