Positioned at the end of a private cul-de-sac and facing directly into virgin riverine forest, Forest Lodge Simbithi is a recently completed three bed roomed luxury home in Simbithi Eco Estate. It epitomises peace and quiet and the forest is alive with animal and bird life.

Self Catering Accommodation

The spacious main bedroom has a full main-en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and large verandah opening onto the canopy of the indigenous forest. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom with bath and shower. Plenty of cupboard space is available in each of the bedrooms. All linen (percale), including bath and beach towels, is provided. It is possible, at an extra charge, to open up granny flat to provide accommodation for an extra two people.

Forest Lodge Simbithi has a fully equipped open plan kitchen and separate scullery complete with dishwasher and washing machine. Although self-catering, servicing can be arranged at additional cost. The open plan ground floor consists of kitchen, dining, lounge and TV lounge (DStv and DVD) which opens up onto the pool area and the magnificent forest. There is a large automated double garage as well as an extra parking bay.

The house is designed in an environmentally friendly way and uses rain water from the roof for its day to day running. As an added feature it has a UPS system for backup power in the event of power grid failure.

Activities on the Estate

BEACH, LAKES AND FOREST:
Secure parking within the estate for beach access (Thomsons Bay 500m). There are a number of dams within the estate for catch and release fishing, as well as numerous walks through forest and grassland.

WILDLIFE:
As a protected environment with only indigenous flora and fauna throughout, guests can enjoy the spectacular bird and wildlife. The estate provides a safe and secure environment for walking, running and cycling.

GOLF:
Simbithi has a Peter Matkovich designed golf course which was awarded the prestigious 5 star Golf Experience award from Complete Golfer magazine for the third year running. It is also ranked in the top 100 in South Africa by Golf Digest magazine. The golf course has awesome views and offers a challenge to experienced top players whilst affording players with higher handicaps a good game. There is a fully equipped golf shop on site at the Club House which also serves all meals of the day.

COMMUNITY CENTRES:
Simbithi has numerous community centres providing large swimming pool and braai facilities, children’s activities with jungle gym.

CLUB HOUSE:
The club house offers a restaurant, gym and pool, pro shop, and two floodlit tennis courts.

Activities off the Estate

Simbithi is centrally situated for North Coast beaches and activities and there are many game reserves northwards. Shopping in Ballito includes the Lifestyle Centre and Ballito Junction - 5 minutes by car. Restaurants in Ballito - 5 minutes by car. Sibaya Casino - 15 minutes by car.

Gateway Shopping & Entertainment Centre: 20 minutes by car - very modern shops to meet all your requirements. Plenty of entertainment for the whole family - movie theatres, the Barnyard Supper Theatre, wall climbing, skate board rink, wax rink, a fun science centre for children (and adults). Coffee bars and restaurants for all tastes. Durban is 40 minutes by car.
