The location, rooms, gardens, breakfast and service at Fiddlers Rest are all excellent. The house is wonderfully kept, with very gracious and well kept rooms, and the lush gardens and pool and a great place to relax. Fiddlers Rest is in a very safe area of Durban, with Mitchells Park around the corner, and the fashionable Florida Road a 5-10 minute walk away. The breakfasts are healthy and very enjoyable, and Lillian is exceptionally helpful, with excellent restaurant recommendations and help in making reservations. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and would definitely stay there again. |

As an avid traveler due to being a writer and athlete, I stayed at Fiddler's Rest pre- and post-Comrades. Lilian and her family are kind, gracious, and caring owners who make sure you are comfortable and extremely well taken care of. The house is beautiful, spacious, and clean. The rooms are exquisite. Morningside, where the bed and breakfast is located, is a very safe area as I was traveling solo and felt comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and would again when in Durban, especially to have Lilian's wonderful breakfasts. |
