A truly breath taking thatch gem, set in the sunny, leafy tranquility of one of Johannesburg's better suburbs, The Empty Chair Guest House offers you luxury, security and privacy, whether enjoying the sunny outdoors of our indigenous garden, patios or pool, or indoors in the sumptuous elegance of our rooms and lounges.

Accommodation

We have a total of six rooms all elegantly decorated with hints of Africa surrounding you. All rooms are easily transformed into double or twin beds and are en-suite.

Room 201
A real little retreat, quietly tucked away with its own private patio and entrance, lounge with fire place, double room with en-suite boasting a Jacuzzi bath. A lovely little romantic getaway. It also offers self catering facilities should you prefer.

Room 202
This room is located on the upper floor of our grounds, boasting perfect views of our indigenous garden and pool, en-suite shower.

Room 203
This room with en-suite shower is also located on the upper floor of our grounds perfect for listing to the wonderful bird life that visit our indigenous garden, en-suite shower.

Room 204
This room is located in our main house on the ground floor, it too boasts of views of our lovely gardens and sparkling pool, has its own entrance and full en-suite.

Room 205
This room is one of our most luxurious located on the upper floor of the main house it has wonderful views of our garden and the perfect bay window day bed for soaking up the sun while reading a good book or just having an afternoon kip. It also has a gas fire for snuggling up during the winter with a full en-suite

Room 206
This spacious room is also located on the upper floor of the main house; it is very inviting and has a real sense of coming home. The en-suite bathroom has a lovely big roll top bath, perfect for relaxing in after a long day at work or seeing the wonderful sites of South Africa.

Facilities

The rooms have tea / coffee making facilities, mini bar, internet connection, hairdryer, TV with DSTV bundle and a safe. We also offer laundry and shuttle service.

Please note all our rooms are non smoking, we do however have smoking facilities around the property. We have a totally secure private parking area.

Start your day with sumptuous buffet breakfast served in our dining area or patio. Dinners are also available on request.
