The apartment sleeps six with double bed in the main bedroom, two single beds in the second bedroom and a high quality double sleeper couch in the sitting room. There are fans in both bedrooms and in the sitting room. Clean Linen is provided, all you need to bring is your own beach and bath towels and dish towels. No daily cleaning service is provided normally but this can be arranged on request, as can linen change for extended stays. There are various Laundromats in close proximity to the complex for your convenience.

The apartment is on the top floor of a three-floor building and commands beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. The balcony is huge with a built-in braai facility with a portable braai, ideal for entertainment. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, open plan to the sitting room which has a TV and DVD player - bring your own DSTV decoder and simply plug in!

Activities and Attractions

Places of interest include antique shops, art shops, modern shopping malls, cinemas and organised fishing and whale watching expeditions. The Wild Coast Casino is a mere 30km away with interesting places to see and visit along the way including coffee farms such as Echo Valley and Beaver Creek. For the adventurous, the famous Oribi Gorge offers extreme sports such as bungie swing or just simply beautiful viewing sights and eating places. Other places to see are, Uvongo Bird Park, the crocodile and snake farm and of course there are driving ranges and golf courses nearby too.

There are ample eating spots in the area from food franchises such as the Mugg and Bean through to more exotic eating within easy walking distance of the apartment and many others a short drive away in the surrounding towns such as St Michael’s, Southbroom, Ramsgate, (the famous Waffle House restaurant in Ramsgate is a firm favourite offering both savoury and sweet Belgium waffles and pancakes for the discerning palate), and Port Edward. Cuisines on offer are Italian, Austrian and French amongst many.

Modern shopping malls such as South Coast Mall, Shelly Centre and Hibiscus Mall make sure that you are always able to find anything you may need.

Durban International Airport is just over an hour’s drive away. Margate Airport is no longer available for national flights, but offers helicopter flips and facilities for microlights and light aircraft.

Margate Events

Local attractions include a number annual festivals including The Sardine Festival, Africa Bike Week, The Easter Carnival and the much anticipated Summer Beach Festival and Big New Years Eve Bash offering live shows and entertainment throughout the day and into the evening. Location

Dolphin View is fantastically positioned right across from the newly refurbished Margate fishing pier and with breaker views of the Indian Ocean on Kwa Zulu Natal’s prestigious Hibiscus South Coast. There are many lovely walks in the area including a conformable walk to Lucien beach. Margate is rated as one of South Africa's Blue Flag beaches with safe swimming, life-savers, surfing, fishing, whale and dolphin viewing. For the energetic holiday-maker there are beautiful walks to Uvongo and St Michael's beaches.

The apartment is a convenient 200m walk to Margate main beach and less than 60m walk to the nearest supermarket. Dolphin View definitely not a misnomer as dolphins are often spotted playing in the surf! Brilliant all year round warm weather makes the South Coast a firm favourite for sun-loving holidaymakers, tourists and visitors. There is ample, designated parking for two cars plus trailer.
