The Area

Barkly West was a small mining town and is filled with historical treasures that include the first Anglican church built in 1871, the Baal River bridge, Canteen Koppi which is an archaeological site, the mining museum and neighbouring farms that are open to visitors for day visits. From here you are also only about 40km away from Kimberley where you will find the Big Hole, the McGregor Museum and the Ghost Trail.
