Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate is a world class championship golf course, working wine farm and residential estate offering upmarket accommodation, conferencing and event opportunities. Set against the backdrop of the spectacular Simonsberg Mountain, just five minutes outside Stellenbosch, you will find a true jewel nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Bottelary Valley - right in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

Blending the magnificence of natural beauty and vineyards, Devonvale Golf Lodge caters for individuals and well as larger groups. The Lodge has magnificent views over the vineyards, the surrounding mountains and the golf course.

Accommodation

Devonvale Golf Lodge has varying types of accommodation to suit all your needs, including self-catering apartments, hotel style rooms and holiday houses.

The self-catering apartments have one or two en-suite bedrooms for up to four guests. The ground floor apartments have their own patio and private garden with braai facilities, while the first floor apartments have covered balconies with views over the pool and gardens. The hotel rooms are well suited for the business traveler or conference delegates, with en-suit bathrooms as well as tea and coffee facilities.

The holiday houses, next to the Lodge, are elegantly appointed. The spacious ground floor living area consists of a fully fitted open plan kitchen, a dining area and a lounge, which leads on to the patio and has easy access to the swimming pool and entertainment area.

The communal entertainment area next to the swimming pool includes braaing facilities, all guest are welcome to relax in the sun and enjoy the pool.

Restaurant

Devonvale Restaurant is well situated with a relaxed ambiance and an all-encompassing view of the golf course and surrounding vineyards. The restaurant can entertain up to 80 guests and offers different seating styles to suit your needs; relaxing on the comfy couches, enjoying the scenery on the wrap around balcony or inside at the dining area.

Meals from our diverse menu are freshly prepared and together with the friendly service, we will ensure that your time is well spent. The highlight of the month is most definitely our Sunday lunch, an event not to be missed.

Conference, Wedding and Events

The Blumberg Room (160m²)
Its shape and size make it especially suited for the occasion with enough room for private tea/coffee breaks inside the venue. A large, North facing balcony, protected by the summer South Easter breeze, allows for breaks in the sunlight to revive delegates and an opportunity to stretch the legs during the day. One can also enjoy views over the golf course and take in the surroundings; after all you’re in the Winelands!

The Blumberg Room was designed according to the new age of technology with a PA system including a lapel and a hand-held microphone, wireless internet access, air-conditioning, remote controlled screen and multiple power points along the carpeted floors for up to 40 laptops.

The Indaba Room (280m²)
The Indaba Room is our largest conference room and has a capacity for up to 180 delegates. There are also four French doors leading on to a private patio, braai area and gardens for refreshments and tea breaks. One also enjoys the feeling of being in the Winelands and the golf course’s top nine holes and practice area are visible from the patio. The Indaba Room is well ventilated and spacious and boasts a large screen, PA system with hand-held microphone, as well as wireless internet access.

Wedding & Events

Our wedding package is designed for you, the bridal couple, so that you are able to enjoy a hassle-free time, while planning your wedding, which we understand to be one of the most important days in a marriage.

Devonvale provides the idyllic setting for your wedding reception and certainly provides friendly and professional service. We are able to do Wedding Ceremonies in our garden gazebo; it makes a perfect setting for the exchanging of vows. The Indaba Room, with the wooden dance floor and high roof structure, offers the potential for a glittering ball.

Golf Course

The Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate is set in a natural undulating valley in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands. Our location, on the North facing slopes of the Devon Valley, allows for wonderful mountain and vineyard views. The scenery is further enhanced by the abundance of established trees throughout the course. We pride ourselves in being the only golf course which can boast a Arboretum and have over 45 tree and plant species marked out across the course.
Devonvale has often been compared to that of a nature reserve, due to the uninterrupted peace and tranquility, and enriched with plenty bird life all around on the course and water features.
