You will be treated to luxurious accommodation in charming surroundings and interiors. All rooms offered are en suite with bath and separate shower. De Doornkraal is eco-friendly; solar water heating is utilised for the en suite bathrooms.

You can enjoy a drink at the poolside, or in the adjacent wine garden where a 200 year old vine is still bearing grapes. Guests have free wireless internet and experience total privacy since the hosts reside in the adjacent homestead of the De Doornkraal Wine Estate. Ample secure parking is available. Dining

The intimate De Wingerdt Restaurant of the boutique hotel has a splendid wine list and serves fresh local fare with a touch of flavours from the Mediterranean, Europe, Asia, and North Africa. No matter what you choose, it will be made on-site from fresh, authentic, quality ingredients. Our cuisine is preservative-free, and we use fresh herbs and produce from our organic garden beds.

Chef de Cuisine, Christopher Peppas, is happy to take specific dietary requirements into consideration. The exquisite menu offered is reflected on our website. Take the opportunity to taste De Doornkraal Wine Estate’s award-winning Syrah Blanc de Noir wine, named 'Aan’t Vette' 1st Divine Blush 2011, with one of our dishes offered.

Weddings

The De Doornkraal wedding centre caters for all your dream wedding needs. Make your ceremony a treasured memory in the romantic surroundings of the garden, pool and centuries old Cape Dutch architecture. The outdoor and indoor reception areas are stylish and tranquil. The main reception hall is fully air-conditioned and renovated to five star perfection.

Included in the wedding package is a free night's accommodation in the honeymoon cottage for the bride and groom. The honeymoon cottage is located close to the vineyard on the De Doornkraal Wine Estate.

Conferences

The De Doornkraal "Lodge Frere" conference centre consists of two fully equipped, airconditioned facilities:
The Dalene Matthee Room: Seats up to 20 persons in different configurations.
The William Hansell Room: Seats up to 100 persons in different configurations.

The Vineyard

The De Doornkraal Wine Estate’s vineyard stretches to the Vette River bordering the town. As part of our offerings, we produce and bottle our own wines on the Estate. The vineyard consists of a single block Syrah cultivar. First of the 'Aan't Vette' Syrah wines is a red, subtitled "Divine Reserve". This wine is still resting in small French oak barrels, but will soon be ready for tasting at the De Wingerdt Restaurant.

A biodiversity strategy is strictly followed by utilising environmentally friendly farming practices that enhance the suitability of the vineyard as habitat for biodiversity. Viticulture practices that have negative impacts on biodiversity are completely avoided. No pesticides or herbicides are allowed in the proximity of the De Doornkraal Wine Estate. Spraying of the vineyard is done manually and only organic substances are used. The Boutique Hotel’s management will gladly take you on a tour of the Wine Estate.
