This cosy Guest House is situated on a working ostrich and alfalfa farm, with some 6000 ostriches on extensive alfalfa fields with spectacular views of the Olifants River Valley and the Swartberg Mountain Range. This charming Victorian homestead dating back to 1910, together with its tranquil surroundings, fine antique furniture, gleaming woodwork and spaciousness, is reminiscent of yesteryear. Located along the world famous Route 62 , from Cape Town to Mossel Bay where it enters the Garden Route, four hours from Cape Town, 10 minutes drive from Oudtshoorn, and only two hours from Knysna. De Denne is very central to tourist attractions in the area. AccommodationOur accommodation consists of 5 warmly decorated luxury self-catering units and 2 luxury suites with modern amenities and a private entrance in this historic main house. EN SUITE ROOM IN MAIN HOUSE The main house has two bedrooms with lounge and full en suite bathroom. Coffee and tea facilities are available. Self-catering Cottage 1 Cottage 1 has a bedroom with a bay window and queen size bed. Separate full bathroom. Open plan living area with BBQ facilities outside. Self-catering Cottages 2 and 3 Cottage 2 and 3 are ideal for families. Lounge area with two single beds and kitchenette. BBQ facilities are available. This cottage also has a fire place (kaggel). Breakfast and DiningBreakfast and dinner is available and there are three options for dinner: BBQ with side dishes and salad or a light meal served at your cottage, or a three course meal served at the main house. We cater for Vegetarian and Halaal FacilitesLuxurious gardens, a mountain view, air conditioning, bar fridge, DSTV, coffee making facilities, microwave oven and hotplate make up the accommodation on offer. Internet services are available at the main office. Activities on this farm include bird watching, mountain biking, hiking trials and magnificent views. Daily farm tours to watch ostrich chicks hatching are also available and very popular.
