Characterised by a contemporary indigenous design aesthetic and stylish interiors, Shaka Lodge accommodates up to three couples in en suite double bedrooms and the more intimate Lake Cottage in the heart of the Reserve, is ideal for two. River Camp, a stone and thatch lodge, takes advantage of the scenic beauty of the Bushmans River with six individual, double rooms accommodating up to 12 people.
A fully equipped kitchen, your personal chef and discreet staff are all on hand for your every need. Food is sourced from the kitchen garden - organic vegetables, fruit, freshly laid eggs – and wild venison from the Reserve. A well-stocked wine cellar provides a selection of world-class wines.

The Bushman’s River is home to Brown and Rainbow Trout and indigenous Yellow Fish. Fly Fishing is available with a ghillie - either still water in any of our six dams or river fishing in the Bushman’s. Our sure-footed Appaloosas offer a unique horse riding experience, whether it’s spotting game or enjoying the sights of the Reserve.
Guided walks, paintball games, tennis (all weather court), clay pigeon shooting, lawn croquet, archery, Zulu dancing performances, San rock art and community visits also form part of the activities included in your package.

Zulu Waters Game Reserve is a proclaimed nature reserve, endorsed by Ezemvelo KwaZulu Natal Wildlife and is the custodian of endangered species such as the Oribi and White Rhino. We are committed to the rehabilitation of the landscape at Dalton through the clearance on alien invasive plants.
