About ZuluWaters Game Reserve
A very private eco-retreat in a panoramic setting of hills, valleys, rolling grasslands and crystal clear streams, ZuluWaters Private Reserve offers the exclusive use of its 7 000 acre estate for a uniquely intimate experience with the African Wilderness.
Characterised by a contemporary indigenous design aesthetic and stylish interiors, Shaka Lodge accommodates up to three couples in en suite double bedrooms and the more intimate Lake Cottage in the heart of the Reserve, is ideal for two. The Nandi House – adjacent to Shaka Lodge sleeps 2 couples.
Shaka Lodge comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen, your personal chef and discreet staff who are all on hand for your every need. Food is sourced from the kitchen garden - organic vegetables, fruit, freshly laid eggs – and wild venison from the Reserve. A well-stocked wine cellar provides a selection of world-class wines. Lake Cottage is available as a self-catering unit only and Nandi House has the option of self-catering or as an add-on to Shaka Lodge for larger groups

Get up close to ZuluWaters wildlife with both day and night game drives to see the full spectrum of animals here (including Cape Buffalo and and Berg Eland).
The Bushman’s River is home to Brown and Rainbow Trout and indigenous Yellow Fish. Fly Fishing is available with a ghillie - either still water in any of our six dams or river fishing in the Bushman’s River. Our sure-footed Appaloosas offer a unique horse riding experience, whether it’s spotting game or enjoying the sights of the Reserve.
Guided walks, paintball games, tennis (all weather court) and clay pigeon shooting are also available.

Zulu Waters Game Reserve is a proclaimed nature reserve, endorsed by Ezemvelo KwaZulu Natal Wildlife and is the custodian of endangered species such as Oribi. We are committed to the rehabilitation of the landscape through the clearance on alien invasive plants.
