The French doors open onto the Karoo-style patio and overlook the garden.
Secure off-road parking is available to guests.
A delicious Compassberg breakfast can be included on request and is served at The Village Inn, a short walk to the next door property.
The village of Nieu-Bethesda lies in a narrow valley, is only about one mile wide and two miles long, has no street lights, ATMís of petrol stations and is home to less than a thousand people.
The village is a retreat for artists, crafters and other creative people who have been attracted by its slow, quirky character. Its rustic charm attracts tourists and because of its isolation, it has retained a lot of its original historical integrity.
Nieu Bethesda has only a couple of main streets, a few guest houses, restaurants, a pub and a couple of art galleries.
The village is home to Helen Martin's well known Owl House; a collection of cement statues and a place that must definitely be visited.
