Cheetah Inn is situated near the world famous Kruger National Park’s Orpen Gate, a mere 50km via a tar road on a secure gated property. We are also surrounded by Big Five game reserves such as Kapama, Thornybush and Timbavati. During the heat of the day, our large sparkling swimming pool, set against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountain Range, provides the ideal refuge to laze away the hours.

Accommodation

Our accommodation consists of two options: eight standard rooms which are situated within the main hotel building, as well as 13 rondawels (African thatched chalets) situated outside the main hotel within our gardens. All rooms are en-suite with air-conditioning, overhead fans and insect-proof screens on the windows, making for a very comfortable stay.

Our standard rooms are situated within the main hotel and are fully en-suite (bath, shower, basin and toilet). Large sliding door windows provide an airy environment perfect for an afternoon nap. Each room is equipped with a ceiling fan to keep things cool as well as insect-proof screens. Our outside rondawels are also equipped with en-suite facilities and ceiling fans.

The rondawels provide a more intimate accommodation setting where a chorus of night sounds can lull you to sleep - perfect for a more private getaway.

Dining

The Hunter’s Arms bar provides a relaxed setting for you to share the highlights of your day over some refreshing sundowners, or nibble on some light snacks. Our a la carte restaurant, The Barn, serves mouth-watering home-cooked meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner time. For those who prefer to dine in the open air, our Boma provides the ideal atmosphere for typically African dinners around a crackling fire. Relax in our TV lounge and at our snooker table.

Conferences

Our conference venue is conveniently situated alongside our main hotel building. The venue can comfortably accommodate business meetings up to 40 delegates. The venue has private toilet facilities and is air-conditioned for your comfort. We provide a basic package which comprises of tables, chairs, notebooks, pencils, whiteboards, flip charts, overhead projector, iced water, cordials, as well as mints.

All meetings / conferences can be tailor-made to suit your needs with regards to meal requirements. For meetings/conferences lasting longer than 1 day, there are also many activities on offer for a restful and relaxing stay.

Activities and Attractions

Nearby attractions include the Endangered Species Breeding Project at Kapama, the Rehabilitation Centre at Moholoholo and the water activities at Klaserie Dam (3 km away) or at the Blyde Dam at Swadini.

Game-viewing activities include game drives on open game viewers; bush walks and night drives at nearby game reserves. We can also organize specialist bird watching tours to run from the Cheetah Inn. We can organize a dawn microlite flight taking off from Cheetah Inn as well as white water rafting trips.

The 10-day Volunteer Safari programme, which is operated from the Cheetah Inn, offers you an outreach experience in which you will have the opportunity to assist deserving local communities, combined with safaris and adventure activities, making your trip an exciting blend of hard work and fun-filled experiences.
