Waratah cottage was a wonderful home from home. The gardens around the house were exquisite, perfect for wandering around at an unhurried pace. The forest views were unsurpassed and the experience was a combination of comfort, peace and beauty. Cheerio Farm is a perfect getaway and one that we would be privileged to repeat.

We were a group of 4 friends (two couples) staying in Forest Cottage. It was perfect - the unit has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The view from the covered patio was spectacular. It was a rainy Easter weekend, but we made the most of it. My only suggestion would be to have a weber, so that one can still braai undercover. The current braai is away from the house/in the open air, so with the all the rain we made use of the oven/stove. I must also commend the hosts (Alf and Carol) on great service and being so accommodating. My fiancé had a bicycle accident which meant we could only travel a day later. They offered to move our stay to an alternative weekend or move it up by one night, and when that wasn't possible for us, allowed us to have a late check-out. Magoebaskloof is a beautiful part of SA - we will definitely be back soon!

The place is very nice. I enjoyed my stay, however the Wi-Fi was really bad. I ended up connecting my pc to my phone for internet. Apart from that the place is refreshing.

Cheerio trout fishing and holiday resort is stunning!! We were so pleasantly surprised by the resort and its stunning views and the great accommodation. We stayed in The Waratah chalet. The whole chalet was really clean and very spacious. We had a lovely huge deck where we could enjoy the sunset right in front of us while enjoying a drink and braai. The view from both the bedroom and living room looks out onto the deck and it’s just breathtaking. The service and communication received from Judy before and during our stay was great and the staff came in everyday and cleaned the chalet really well. The whole resort is really well looked after with gorgeous flowers and trees all around and the various walking paths makes you feel like you are on an adventure! We will definitely be returning soon!

We had the most wonderful stay at Cheerio and our hosts, Alf and Carol were so good to us. It is the most beautiful place to visit especially during the Festival in September. We had all the comforts needed and I can truly recommend a trip to their Lodge. We did not want to go home!!!
