Cheerio Trout Fishing Holiday Resort offers self-catering accommodation in Magoebaskloof in two, four and six sleeper chalets in the beautiful Cheerio Valley. Trout fishing is offered in three dams on the property.

Cheerio Trout Fishing Holiday Resort is situated in the beautiful Cheerio valley, home of the annual Magoebaskloof Spring cherry blossom and azaelea show. It is surrounded by the Wolkberg mountains and pine and indigenous forests. It lies between Polokwane and Tzaneen and is an excellent stop over to the Kruger National Park and other private game parks.

Self Catering Accommodation

Accommodation is provided in two, four and six sleeper, fully equipped self catering cottages. The chalets are fully equipped with all bedding, towels and cooking utensils. All cottages have DSTV (hotel bouqet) and braai facilities and are serviced daily except on Sundays and public holidays.

Waratah (2 bed):
Bedroom: King-size bed; bathroom: shower, basin and toilet; kitchenette / dining area; lounge with fireplace; large deck.

Stone cottage (2 bed):
Bedroom: two single beds or can be converted to double bed; bathroom: shower, bath, basin and toilet; kitchenette / dining area; lounge with fireplace.

Grandpa's (4 Bed):
Bedroom 1: double bed, en-suite dressing room and bathroom with bath; Bedroom 2: two single beds; second bathroom: shower, and basin; separate toilet with basin; kitchenette; lounge with fireplace; dining area; reading / relaxing room leading on to covered back veranda; private garden and large deck overlooking pool.

Mountain View (6 Bed):
Bedroom 1: double bed with bathroom en suite; Loft: four single beds; additional bathroom downstairs comprising shower, toilet and basin; kitchen / dining area; large sunny lounge with sleeper couch; fireplace; braai area.

Beefwood (6 Bed):
Bedroom 1: double bed; bathroom: bath, basin, toilet and shower; Separate toilet with basin; Bedroom 2: two single beds, en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet; kitchen / dining area; lounge with double sleeper couch and fireplace; covered veranda.

Rainbow (2 Bed):
Bedroom: two single beds or can be converted to double bed; bathroom: shower, toilet and basin; kitchenette / dining area; lounge with fireplace; large deck.

Paul's Cottage (4 bed):
Bedroom with 2 single beds, which can be made into a double if requested, an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, a lounge with fireplace, a patio and braai facilities. The cottage does not overlook the valley and has a restricted view.

Forest Cottage (4 Bed):
Bedroom 1: double bed, en-suite dressing room and bathroom with bath; Bedroom 2: two single beds en-suite dressing room and bathroom with shower; kitchen / dining area; lounge with fireplace; large deck (portion covered) with doors from lounge and bedrooms; braai facilities; private garden.

Rainbow, Forest and Waratah Cottages are set apart from the other chalets and have spectacular views into the valley.

TROUT FISHING

Trout fishing is offered in three dams on the property and at an owned property on the Letaba River - 20 minutes drive. Fishing can also be arranged in the waters of the local Trout Fishing Association. Forest, riverside and garden walks can be undertaken from the property and hiking, mountain bike and 4X4 trails are in close proximity.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES

Our Letaba River property offers a canopy tour over the spectacular waterfalls and gorges of the Letaba River, quad biking, abseiling, tubing, kloofing, paintball, mountain biking, birding, walking and 4X4 trails.

Don't forget about the fantastic Magoebaskloof Moutain Bike Trails. There are 5, 25, and 40 km scenic mountain biking trails, which can also be hiked, starting from Cheerio. These are well marked and traverse forest, streams and mountains. Other longer and extreme trails are available in the area
