Champagne Haven is a luxury, privately owned, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom (2 en suite) self catering chalet situated in the stunning Mount Champagne Resort in the Central Drakensberg, KwaZulu Natal. The area is part of a world heritage site.The chalet offers a taste of paradise in a pristine resort with magnificent views of the Central Drakensberg mountain range. AccommodationThe chalet accommodates 8 to 9 people comfortably. The interior is furnished in the chic African style with no cost having been spared with regards to comfort and luxury. For your enjoyment there is a TV, DVD player and hi-fi. (Bring own DSTV card). The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, microwave, etc. There is also a washing machine and tumble drier. All rooms have wall mounted heaters for the glorious winter days and nights in the Drakensberg. An outside built in braai (barbecue) area ensures many pleasant times of relaxation while enjoying the breathtaking mountain view. To make your holiday complete, the chalet is fully serviced on a daily basis. FacilitiesBecause the chalet is part of a small private timeshare resort guests can relax knowing there is complete security. Facilities include a magnificent on site dam for fishing and canoeing, tennis court, swimming pool, trampoline and children's playground. Horse riding is also available .There are many beautiful hikes in the immediate proximity as well as more strenuous hikes for the avid hiker in the Monks Cowl area, a 5 minute drive from the resort. Exciting mountain bike trails exist for the mountain biker. The chalet has a shed in the garden for the storage of mountain bikes. Activities & AttractionsScenic helicopter flips are available at adjacent airfield. Two top class golf courses are a 5 minute drive away. Excellent cuisine is available at the nearby Dragon's Rest Restaurant. A pleasant five minute stroll along a beautiful tree lined avenue brings you to a well stocked shop, "The Oaks" for necessary supplies as well as an amazing array of gifts and souvenirs. For a memorable experience there is a daily falcon display which takes place adjacent to the resort. Watch these stealthy birds of prey as they soar to astronomical heights and swoop down in front of the audience to “hunt” their prey. Within a ten minute drive of the chalet there are many fascinating stops including a candle and rug factory, a world famous pottery manufacturer and the valley’s very own and popular “Valley Bakery.” - definitely no time to be on diet!
