Situated on 23 picturesque hectares amongst olive orchards, vineyards, and buchu land, Cascade Country Manor is an idyllic and luxurious private retreat. A small stream meanders through the estate and cascades down a little waterfall, creating a soothing and serene atmosphere most conducive to unequalled relaxing on the majestic porch of the Manor House, or in the stunning pool. At our Mediterranean-style villa in the heart of the scenic Cape Winelands, you will experience warm hospitality. Your hosts at this family-run, child-friendly guesthouse are Maika and Volker Goetze, noted for their professional and accommodating attitude to guests’ needs. ACCOMMODATIONCascade Country Manor has five double rooms with twin or king-sized beds. One of these rooms is wheelchair accessible. In addition, there are three suites and a family room. All Cascade rooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms. Children are very welcome and a separate bed or sleeper couch can be set up in some of the rooms. DININGVolker is a creative hobby chef and showcases fresh local produce in preparing his sought after dinners at the guesthouse (by prior arrangement only). If you visit for three nights or longer, your stay at Cascade Manor includes a complimentary two-course dinner on the first night (conditions apply, see rates). Should you want to dine at one of several award-winning restaurants near by, the chauffer will gladly take you there and bring you back to Cascades Country Manor afterwards. WEDDINGSCascade Manor offers large function venues indoors and out. The possibilities are ample: A large marquee on the lavish lawns for your wedding reception? A luscious buffet on the patio? A big band playing the great standards of the Swing era? All of the above for a birthday bash to end all birthday bashes? The choice is yours, Cascade Manor will provide the setting. CONFERENCESShould you need to attend to conferencing work, the “Bedford” Conference Room hosts up to 50 people in lecture style seating. It features a digital projector, an audio system, a DVD player, and satellite television. The dinner table can be dressed up or down to suit your private dinner party requirements or an important business meeting. LOCATION & ATTRACTIONSCascade Manor is situated 40 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 5 minutes from Paarl, at the head of the secluded Waterval Road. You can fill your pastime by pursuing activities that could include wine or olive tasting at nearby farms, hiking, golfing, and trout fishing. Nearby attractions include Boschenmeer and Pearl Valley Golf Estates and the Nederburg Wine Estate. The lovely Boland is around the corner, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are just a skip and a jump away, and South Africa’s “mother city”, the incomparable Cape Town, is a 45 minute drive along the N1 motorway.
