In the heart of the world-renowned Wine Route, just 20 minutes from Cape Town lies the Helderberg area comprising the towns of Somerset West, Gordon's Bay and Strand. Somerset West is nestled between the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain and the False Bay coastline and is a gateway to scenic drives and the Cape Winelands.
Cape Topaz offers three up market, luxurious rooms. Each of the comfortable rooms is equipped with tea / coffee making facilities, hairdryer, safe, aircon and TV / M-Net / shared DStv. The spacious bathrooms are en-suite and have a shower and bath with luxurious toiletries and bathrobes. All rooms have a balcony, overlooking the Helderberg Mountain or with panoramic view over False Bay.
To complement your stay, a full English breakfast is included. The pool, lounge and bar area are to be used at the guest's leisure. Secure off street parking is available.

• Airport Transfer: We're more than happy to collect, or drop you off. This service will often save you stress and money, as it costs less than car rental for one day.
• Car hire: We can help organize car hire for you - either in advance or when you get here. The car can be delivered to the airport or at Cape Topaz.
• Internet access: We have wireless Internet access in all the rooms. There is also a computer you can use in the lounge. Internet access is free!
• Parking: You can park your car safely on the premises.
• Swimming pool: We have a nice swimming pool. Bathing towels are in the room.

Hermanus Whale Watching
From July to December whales can be seen at the shores of South Africa. Approximately an hour and a half away from Cape Town is the seaside town of Hermanus. A popular holiday destination for tourists and locals alike, Hermanus is hailed as offering the best land based whale watching in the world. From May onwards Southern Right Whales pay homage to these warm, shallow waters in order to calf their young and to mate. The best time for whale watching is between August and November and at this time the bay is dotted with whales. More often than not, they're more than happy to put on a performance.
