Style meets comfort and the modern meets the master crafted with rooms that feature high-beamed teak ceilings, wide antique yellowwood floors and carefully preserved heritage detail. Guests should feel pampered sinking into hand-made king sized mattresses with the finest bed linen. Superior quality bathrooms complete with soft towels and robes. Well-stocked mini fridges should further encourage guests to unwind. Satellite TV, DVD’s and Plasma screen televisions are standard features in every room. The whole hotel has WIFI access and there is a computer for our guests in the library. We have spared no attention to detail and indulged without compromise! BreakfastBreakfast is served outside under the grapevine or in the Breakfast Room. Large bowls of Fresh fruit salad, homemade muesli, yoghurt, freshly baked muffins, croissants, tea, coffee, local preserves, charcuterie and cheeses overflow onto the buffet. We also have an extensive menu with daily specials and fruit smoothies. Facilities & ServicesThe newspapers are delivered daily and we have all the most recent magazine publications. Home made cakes and tea, are served from 4pm in the lounge, under the vine or in guests bedrooms. Picnic baskets can be packed to take on day trips and Room Service is available if leaving the hotel to eat at any of the 3 outstanding restaurants in the square seems like an effort. WeddingsWeddings. We have hosted a few intimate weddings in the hotel. We can help organise one for you, and will arrange the minister, flowers, cake, photographer, etc. The HotelWhilst we endeavour to provide a standard of excellence we have remained conscious of our impact on the environment and local community, which is an issue we are passionate about. Each room has a master switch for all electrics and each bathroom has locally made organic soaps, shampoos and other luxuries. We have solar panels on the roof and use fully biodegradable, organic products for our housekeeping. Our kitchen uses the highest quality seasonal produce available, which is also almost entirely organic. We promote the local creative arts community and display a high standard of artwork around the hotel for guests to appreciate and even invest in. Heritage SquareHeritage Square is an eclectic mix of thriving businesses all geared to make your stay with us complete. Alongside world-class restaurants there is a hairdresser, a Pilates and Gyro Tonics instructor, a Masseur and our own shop promoting the highest quality of South Africa’s finest craftsmen. All this is soon to be joined by a children’s store with a difference, which will also provide activities for the younger guests. We have a wonderful family of staff who go beyond expectation to ensure our guests feel really special. We have nurtured relationships with all the top tour operators in and around the city and as a result can arrange tours and excursions of the highest standard. We want our guests to enjoy the best that Cape Town has to offer. For guests that want to do their own thing we have the added treat of our own chauffeured car and can arrange airport collections and any other driving requirements.
