A Small Gem in the middle of the country. The first impression was professionalism as we received a phone call in the morning ask us if we would like to have dinner. Various options on the menu but we decided on the Lamb Shank! Well Well well no other lamb shank will be able to live up to this meal. It was made with pure love and I couldn't get enough. The lamb was so tender it fell off the bone but it was not only that, the vegetables and sauce that accompanied the food was just as good. I don't think the chef herself realises what a good cook she is. From the time we arrived the staff where very attentive and looked after us. The bedrooms are perfect, clean and comfortable. Everything you needed even turn down service and a warm bed from the hot blanket they put on before you got in from the cold evening air. We decided to stay for breakfast in the morning as the place was so wonderful. Just as delicious and so many options which you wouldn't expect from a small town. Everything was perfect and they had a good selection of beer, wine or whiskey to choose from which fitted with the big fire place in the dinning area for pre drinks before dinner that evening. Not only did I place my dinner order while en route to the Guesthouse, with the amazing manager, but they also stayed up late to accommodate our arrival. Staff are kind and amazing, food was great and the room, stunning. My new go to place:

We have stayed here on two occasions going down and back from Cape Town. Really nice and comfortable with pleasant staff. Only you need to be aware of when loadshedding kicks in because then you have no water as the borehole pump doesn't work. Bur otherwise a lovely place.

this is a real gem and oasis of calm en route to longer roadtrips. We loved the cool pool on arrival after a long, ride in the car - with cold drinks served as well. The breakfast is also worth it if you don't have to leave too early.
