About Bluegum Cottage
The Bluegum Cottage is the new guest wing of the Garlic House, a beautiful, old 18th century building and home of owner and artist Kitty Schneider.
Set in a large private property with lots of secure off street parking, the Cottage lies in a quiet and peaceful area of Smithfield. When staying at The Bluegum Cottage, privacy, peace and quiet ensure a good nights sleep and relaxed stay.
This large modern cottage is ideal for singles, couples and especially families up to six people. There are three rooms; two bedrooms with queen size beds and another large room with the kitchen / dining / lounge area and two single beds.
One bedroom is upstairs with a large balcony with views all around Smithfield and the mountain. Large windows provide lots of natural light and views into the organic farm-like garden. Good quality linens, electric blankets, DStv, a full bathroom, kitchen / lounge and dining area provide everything you need to have a comfortable nights stay.
On site you will find a plunge pool for hot summer afternoons and plenty of space in the garden for children to run around. There is excellent 3G cell phone coverage and a good restaurant and pub down the road which offers Wi-Fi.
Bluegum Cottage is available on a self catering basis but if you would like, the owner, Kitty, will make dinner for guests (must be arranged in advance please). Cereals / tea and coffee are included in the accommodation price.
There are three dogs and four cats on the property, so pets are only allowed with prior arrangement.
