Bluebells is just a brisk stroll away from the centre of Greyton; a town known for its delightful coffee shops, top restaurants and interesting corners filled with arts and crafts. Every Saturday from 10 to 12 you will find the locals and visitors streaming to the morning market where locally produced or harvested treats and fresh produce are sold.
Families can relax in nature by enjoying nearby activities such as hiking, cycling and horse riding. A visit to Greyton is not complete without a visit to Genadendal, the oldest missionary town in South Africa, just 5 km away.
Greyon hosts quite a few popular festivals and events, such as The Greyton Genadendal Classics for All Festival, The Greyton Classic MTB & Trail Run, The Greyton Rose Festival, The Greyton Book Club Festival and a Children’s Festival. All these events are extremely well organised and the whole community gets involved to give visitors the best of what Greyton has to offer.
Bluebells is a newly built double-storey home. The house sleeps six guests comfortably. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own balcony with beautiful views of the mountains. The en-suite bathroom has a Victorian bath and a shower. The other two bedrooms with two single beds in each share the second full bathroom. All bedrooms are sunny and spacious, the beds are brand new with quality linen, and fresh and comfortable furnishings complete the picture.
The lounge / dining room area offers spacious and comfortable living. The open fireplace, wooden floors and stained glass windows sets the tone for an unforgettable Greyton experience. A separate cosy TV lounge with DVD player, as well as a variety of popular board games, makes this cottage ideal for families with children.
The cheerful country kitchen is the ideal place for the first cup of morning coffee and is fully equipped with everything a zealous cook may need. The separate scullery also includes a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities.
The house has two undercover veranda's where a Weber can be used as a braai facility. The day bed on the Western veranda is the perfect place for a good read while the Scholtz River flows past as background music.
In our quest to reduce our carbon footprint, grey water is recycled and used in the garden, while eco-friendly cleaning products are used in the house. Traditional light bulbs are replaced with energy saving bulbs. Installing solar panels is next on the agenda.
This lovely cottage will meet all your requirements for a relaxing stay, not only for a weekend getaway but also for longer holiday periods. Special tariffs are applicable for mid-week stays, pensioners and for longer bookings.
