We enjoyed our stay at Blesfontein guest farm. Nicol and Marina are excellent host and Nicol's knowledge on stars is very good and we had a clear sky so we also did some stargazing through the telescope. We also went to the escarpment and it is an amazing view. I'm a photographer so I also did some star trail photography. Next time I will visit the farm when it is dark moon which will enhance the milky way. The dinner and breakfast was very good. It was really an enjoyable stay for my wife, Christa and I

Set away from the town of SUtherland this farm offers peace and tranquility. We stayed in the ex cow shed and it was really atmospheric. The in room cooking facilities were a bit basic, but we made do for two evening meals. We ate one evening and all breakfasts in the farm restaurant area and the food was really tasty and freshly cooked to order. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel most welcome. The animals on the farm were varied, springbok, tortoise, alpaca (amazing), meerkat (amusing), horses, cats, dogs, geese, goats, pig etc. In the end we spoend most of our time lazing arund the farm - and we are basically English town folk! We would definitely return if we are in the area again.
