Bisibee Guest House is situated in a well established, up-market area of Oudtshoorn that is within walking distance to the centre of town (1 km). Many of our guests love to take an evening stroll into town for fine wine and dining.
Most of the local tourist attractions are within a 15 to 30 minute drive from Bisibee Guest House and we are more than willing to help in providing any advice that you may need in planning your tour of our area. We also have plenty of convenient and secure parking.
Bisibee Guest House prides itself in providing outstanding service and hospitality. The three of us (Jo-Anne, Ruark and Alan) have spent many years in the service industry and are fully aware of what is required to run a friendly, successful establishment.
Bisibee is located on a large property and the 11 en-suite rooms are spread throughout the property. Two of our rooms are also setup for self-catering and very private. This makes them ideal for two couples or a family requiring some seclusion.
All the rooms are en-suite and we provide each room with basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, body lotion and towels. We also supply a TV (Local broadcast only), kettle, cups, coffee, tea, wine glasses, fridge, ceiling fan for summer and wall mounted heaters for winter. There is also a large veranda where one can enjoy a glass of wine. We also provide wireless facilities for those wanting to access the internet with their laptops or similar. We do not allow any smoking in the rooms.
Bisibee has a nice swimming pool that is especially user friendly for children. There are plenty of seating areas within a garden that boasts of large trees, many birds and a large variety of flowers. This provides a pleasant ambience to relax in after a hard day of touring or business. If you feel like a barbecue, there are plenty of barbecuing facilities available – one fixed and three mobile.
By arrangement, we are also willing to provide home cooked dinners for those wishing to take it easy.
Oudtshoorn has much to offer. Apart from the more obvious attractions, we have a lovely local waterfall (200 ft) that is great for a lunch stop. Some quad biking that will take a family and/or friends through some gorgeous scenery. A drive from us through Meiringspoort, Prince Albert, The Swartberg Pass and back again that provides some outstanding scenery.
