Bishopscourt House is situated just off the desirable Klaassens Road, Bishopscourt in the Constantia Valley. The views of the mountain are magnificent, with Castle Rock right above you. The property is approximately 5000 metres and is fully fenced with electric gates. We are also part of the Bishopscourt Chubb 24 hour monitoring service, plus we have a brand new alarm system with outside beams. There is plenty of parking within the property.

Accommodation

Bishopscourt House is a large gracious Georgian style house, which has been totally renovated and discreetly divided into two separate houses / units, under one roof. They can be rented separately or together sleeping 16-18 people. There is under floor heating throughout as well as two open wood fireplaces. There are large grassed and treed areas which are common to both units as well as the private designated areas for each unit.

Bishopscourt House 1
The larger of the two, sleeps up to 10 people and consists of five bedrooms, three bathrooms (two en suite), spacious lounge, dining room, guest cloak, large kitchen, scullery, laundry, tiny mini gym, large pool and garden. There are two double sized en suite bedrooms with king size beds. French doors lead off both of these bedrooms onto sundrenched private decks. There is one cozy kiddies room with bunks and two further double sized bedrooms, one with queen bed and the other with two singles, all sharing a bathroom.

The bedrooms are all upstairs and all five rooms have spectacular views. The bathrooms have all been redone in travertine. The house has been decorated in fresh creams and neutral colours throughout, with splashes of colour where needed, giving it an overall elegant but casual and welcoming atmosphere. There is also a large garage, which can either be used for parking your car or it could assist those requiring some extra storage for their own things. It has an alarm.

Bishopscourt House 2
The smaller of the two, sleeps up to eight people and consists of three spacious, modern and vibrant en suite bedrooms. The green room is fresh and invigorating with an extra length queen bed. It has French doors leading out into a private garden. The copper room is light and earthy with beautiful views and the silver room is fundamentally funky with twin beds and beautiful garden and mountain views. The kitchen is compact, new and modern.

There is an open plan lounge and dining room with French doors leading onto your garden. This also houses a very comfy sleeper couch, allowing it to sleep up to eight people. All three bathrooms are en suite and brand new, finished off in travertine.

Facilities & Services

On arrival, you will be greeted, shown around and handed an information booklet. This tells you how everything works - the alarm, TV, DSTV, appliances, garbage removal, cleaning, internet etc. We supply the cleaning goods for the house for shorter lets throughout but when you arrive (regardless of the length of stay) there will be cleaning goods, soap, toilet paper, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a snack, so you don’t have to go rushing off to the shops immediately! We are a phone call or an email away, to help assist you with any problems that may arise, or if you need advice on where to go and what to do, we can also advise you on that.

Location & Attractions

Bishopscourt House is situated in an ideal position, no matter what your interests are. It is also very, very private, tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac. We are very close to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens (which during the summer months host magnificent evening concerts and shows) , short driving distance to Constantia wine routes, fabulous shopping, spectacular golf courses, famous Cape Town beaches, our very own world cup stadium and the V&A waterfront and of course our world class restaurants!

Bishopscourt House is also only 30 minutes away from the Stellenbosch wine routes and a little bit further, Franschhoek and Paarl.
