You can also enjoy the sight of the Hottentots Holland mountain range - particularly in the glow of the setting sun’s reflection. The rooms are unusually spacious and all have a sitting area, air conditioning and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. No two rooms are the same. They are all furnished and decorated in keeping with the style of this classically elegant building. There are three double rooms and three family rooms (which can easily accommodate four people). Other facilities include TV with M-Net, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, wall safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, toiletries and luxurious white linen. Free wireless internet is available in all rooms. Facilities and services to make you feel at homeYour hosts, Jackie and Glenn, are always on hand to make sure that each day of your stay is a special one. Glenn is a registered tour guide with in-depth knowledge of all the attractions of the Western Cape. He will gladly give advice on day trips and even take you hiking on the mountain behind the guesthouse. He is also a budding artist and has a permanent exhibition in the dining room! Jackie will make sure that you start the day with a hearty breakfast and, on request, will prepare packed lunches for you. In the evening, you can choose from a selection of home-made meals which are ready to warm in the microwave. In reception, a dedicated PC is provided for guests. A free 24-hour Internet connection allows you to check your e-mails and surf the Net at your leisure. The deliciously cool wine cellar has been converted into a guest lounge with a TV and DVD player and a selection of movies, games and books for those times when you just feel like staying in and relaxing. Ample parking is provided outside the guesthouse and it is possible to access the ground floor rooms without using any stairs. Between them, Jackie and Glenn speak English, Afrikaans, German and French. Situated close to many attractionsGordon’s Bay is a wonderfully central base from which to visit all the attractions of the Western Cape and, when you return to the guesthouse, you can leave the car behind and walk to the beach and all the local restaurants and shops. Berg en Zee is literally across the road from a safe swimming beach and five minutes’ walk from well-known Bikini Beach. A short stroll along the tree-lined seaside path will take you to several excellent restaurants and bars. Cape Town International Airport is just 40 minutes’ drive away and we will gladly arrange airport transfers. The centre of Cape Town is approximately 50km to the West, whilst Hermanus, the famous whale-watching capital, is 80km to the East. All of the world-renowned wine estates are on our doorstep - between 15 to 60 minutes’ drive. For golfers, the variety of courses is unequalled with Erinvale, Arabella, Pearl Valley, Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Strand close by. ACCREDITATIONS
