Bendigo Ridge Holiday Home is a luxury self catering home ideal for your family to escape from the city and to come relax and unwind. Our home is located on the South Coast in the quiet area of Anerley which is only an hour's drive from Durban. The home has lovely views over the Indian Ocean and natural indigenous trees and plants.

It will be well worth your while to have the occasional early rise and enjoy a most beautiful sunrise from the balcony or the east facing bedroom windows. You might just be lucky and see the wild buck, the Loerie, Hornbills and other bird species in the early morning and late afternoon. Behind the house is a protected Mahogany tree that is over a 100 years old.

Accommodation

This 3 bedroom house sleeps 6 people. The home is fully furnished and linen and towels are provided. Just bring your own beach towels. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, kettle and washing machine for you convenience.

The main bedroom has a Queen bed and an en-suite shower / toilet. The second bedroom has a queen bed. The third bedroom has two single beds. There is also a separate bathroom / toilet.

An armed response alarm system is also installed in the house for your peace of mind.

Facilities

The dining room table seats six people and the lounge leads onto the patio with a built-in braai which overlooks the sea. A Hi-Fi, TV and DSTV decoder is provided. Please remember to bring your own smart card however. The house has an automated double garage and is located in a complex with electric fencing.

Attractions & Activities

Enjoy a brisk walk early in the morning down to the lovely Southport Beach. It is a popular safe beach all year round with a lovely swimming area and tidal pool for the kiddies to play in. The angler can bring his fishing rod along and fish from the rocks or the beach. Close to the beach is a friendly restaurant where you can enjoy a meal or have some drinks while you watch sport on TV.

Just off the main road you will find a shop with a bakery, a filling station, pharmacy, Post Office, Library and bowling club. Travel south down the coast for 18km and you will be at Shelly Beach which has a small craft harbour. You would also find the popular Shelly Centre there to suit your shopping needs with restaurants, banks, and a cinema.

Just a little further south you will find St. Michaels, Uvongo, Margate and Ramsgate. The adrenaline junkies can visit Oribi Gorge were they can experience Abseiling, Wild Water Rafting, Wild Slide, Wild Swing, Hiking and Biking Trails.

There are a number of golf courses near by. The closest is the Port Shepstone Country Club merely 8 km away. The greater South Coast Area boasts three of South Africa’s top ten golf courses - Selbourne Park, San Lameer and the Wild Coast Sun.
