About Bellingham Homestead
Situated in the heart of the picturesque Winelands, Bellingham Homestead is a National Monument owned by the Podlashuk Bellinchamp National Heritage Foundation Trust, a charitable organisation. Left as a gift to the nation by Bernard and Fredagh Podlashuk who bought Bellingham in 1943 and where the famous Bellingham Wines were born.
If you’re looking for relaxing accommodation in the Cape Winelands, 11kms from Franschhoek, Bellingham offers you a very private getaway surrounded by mountains, set in picturesque manicured gardens.
The Accommodation Units at Bellingham Homestead are furnished in an antique style and they all have a basic self-catering facility.
The Original Guest Suite (Sleeps 2 Adults and 2 Children)
Has a King size bed, dressing room and en-suite bathroom. It has a kitchenette and dining area. The sitting room (with sleeper couch) opens onto an enclosed patio which has access to the garden and swimming pool. Sleeps two adults and for a small extra daily rate, two children on sleeper couch.
The Four Poster Suite (Sleeps 2)
Has a Queen size four poster bed, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. This suite has a patio with a magnificent view across the garden and of the Worcester Mountains.
Lara’s Cottage (Sleeps 2 Adults and 1 Child)
Lara’s Cottage is a very comfortable modern one bedroom unit with a kitchenette and sitting room. Lara’s has its own patio area with a view over the rose garden and access to the swimming pool. Sleeps up to three guests.
Garden Cottage (Sleeps 4)
Garden Cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage. The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and both rooms have twin beds. This historical cottage has an open plan sitting room, dinning area and kitchen which form the cottage hub. Off the second bedroom is a patio with magnificent views across the garden, as well as, access to the swimming pool and gardens.
