ACTIVITIESJacobsbaai is a fisherman’s haven with the azure Atlantic Ocean providing an abundance of seafood like crayfish, hottentot, galjoen, white steenbras and black mussels. You will find fresh crayfish in season, normally from November to January. Visit the fishing boats on the beach as they arrive back with their morning’s catch. The area offers spectacular hiking along the scenic coastline. Nature walks, bird watching and the multiflower extravaganza during spring are all part of the West Coast experience. When the wanderlust sets in, the 17km hiking trail between Swartriet and Tietiesbaai, is a good option to satisfy your curiosity of the equally gorgeous surrounding bays.
