About Karoo Art Hotel
A stay at this funky Klein Karoo hotel is an experience that can't be missed! Just off the magnificently scenic Route 62, only 2.5 hours from Cape Town (en route between Cape Town and the Garden Route / Cango Caves), you'll find the Karoo Art Hotel nestled in the sun drenched valley of the Langeberg Mountains. Even in winter the day time temperature is moderate.
Accommodation
Take your pick from 15 en suite rooms, all completely individual in character but offering classic Karoo accommodation with a creative twist. Whichever room you choose you get the extra luxuries that count: top quality mattresses, soft percale linen, piping hot showers. With the exception of the Garden Suite, all rooms are located on the first floor, some with views from balconies overlooking the village or garden.
The prices include a hearty Karoo breakfast and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Wining and Dining
We have an extensive wine list, which includes the best local wines, in our fully stocked bar. Cigars, single malt whiskeys and cognacs are also available for the connoisseur. Guest can enjoy dinner in the hotel's own award-winning restaurant. The emphasis is on South African traditional food, particularly Karoo dishes. The restaurant is a member of the international gastronomic guild Chaîne des Rộtisseurs and a winner of the Klein Karoo Gourmand Restaurant Award.

Barrydale
Barrydale offers the visitor much to see and explore – aside from the beautiful walks in the area you can browse the picturesque village of Barrydale, take a drive though the scenic Tradauw Pass which is very close by, unwind in the hot springs, a 20 minute drive from the hotel or just relax in front of the open fires and enjoy fine wines, ports and bubbly in our character-filled bar.

This is a one off! Creative, inspiring decor with art on every wall. Warm sincere hospitality and great food and bar. Loved the early morning swim with Rick and the hike up the hills. What a lovely town. Cannot recommend enough.

My wife and I spend one night at the hotel and it was most enjoyable. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was great and we marvelled in the food served at Mez restaurant.Really good.We also enjoyed the breakfast and the garden of the hotel. Certainly worth a visit.
