From Johannesburg – for Lodge guests
Take the N 4 towards Witbank, Middelburg Plaza, turnoff to Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Ohrigstad, Abel Erasmus Pass, J.G.Strijdom Tunnel, from tunnel 10 km and turn left at fuel service station towards Tzaneen/Phalaborwa, travel another 10 km to signboard ” Phalaborwa” and turn right towards Phalaborwa, travel 27 km to T-junction and turn left towards Phalaborwa R 40. Pass the Balule, Parsons Gate sign and continue on R40 until Grietjie signboard, then turn right into dirt road. Follow for 2.7 km to Gate and then 6 km to Baluleni Safari Lodge, Plot 13.

From Hoedspruit, Lodge-guests
Leaving the main tarred road between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa (R40) at the Grietjie – signboard, follow dirt road (2,7km) to the gate and then (6km) to Baluleni, Plot 13 (51.2 km from Hoedspruit)

From Polokwane, Lodge-guests
Follow the R 71 from Polokwane to Tzaneen through to Gravelotte and continue on R 71 (do not turn to Phalaborwa at Gravelotte) but continue straight through Gravelotte until T-junction, then turn LEFT toward Phalaborwa and turn right at Grietjie signboard onto dirt road to Baluleni, plot 13.

From leaving the R40 the directions are:
Follow for 2.7 km to gate, after 1.8 km go straight at the crossing, after 2.8 km keep left on Y-crossing, after 450 meters turn left into Baluleni Safari Lodge Plot 13. After 800 meters you have reached the lodge.

2. Direction to Plot 26 Balule/Parsons-Gate (SELF CATERING-guests)

From Johannesburg – self catering guests
Take the N 4 towards Witbank, Middelburg Plaza, turnoff to Belfast, Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Ohrigstad, Abel Erasmus Pass, J.G.Strijdom Tunnel, from tunnel 10 km and turn left at fuel service station towards Tzaneen/Phalaborwa, travel another 10 km to signboard ” Phalaborwa” and turn right towards Phalaborwa, travel 27 km to T-junction and turn left towards Phalaborwa R 40, within the next 5 km PASS BOTH the Engen fuel service station (Samey) on right hand side and the turnoff sign on the left to Tzaneen, about 500 m passed this turnoff is a sign “BALULE PARSONS GATE” – turn right into dirt road, then 5 km to gate, then 7 km to plot 26, Baluleni (dirt road of 12 km takes approximately 35 minutes).

From Hoedspruit – self catering guests
Leaving the main tarred road between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa (R40) at the BALULE PARSONS GATE signboard (about 500m after the Tzaneen turnoff), follow the dirt road for 5 km to the gate of the reserve (R 50.00 cash conservation fee per vehicle and R30.00 per person, valid for the entire stay ). Thereafter the dirt road continues for another 7 km towards Baluleni Safari Lodge at Plot 26. Just remember this is now big 5 country and stay in the vehicle. Follow the signs to Plot 26, Baluleni.

From Polokwane – Self catering guests
Follow the R 71 from Polokwane to Tzaneen through to Gravelotte and continue on R 71 (do not turn to Phalaborwa at Gravelotte) but continue to T junction, turn LEFT, continue for 700 metres, turn RIGHT at sign Balule (Parsons Gate). 5 km to gate and 7 km to Baluleni.
