Perfect place to stay in Franschhoek. We attended a wedding at the church opposite the road from our August House apartment. The church service and the reception (held at a nearby restaurant) was within walking distance. Very nicely located apartments and the rooms have been decorated with South African crafts. Very comfortable. Ask for a balcony. Two rooms have balconies and two don't. |

We spent the weekend in Franschhoek for a wedding at nearby Moreson and stayed at August House. Perfectly located and very comfortable accommodation. Definitely ask for one of the two rooms with a balcony and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains. The central location of the accommodation could not be better for a stay in Franshhoek - pretty much everything is within walking distance.
A visit to the Due South shop and the Pancake House below the accommodation is a good way to start the day! |

We stayed in room number 1 that has a nice little balcony with a beautiful view of the historic church. The room is nicely furnished and very comfortable. The best was the fact that it had airconditioning. A MUST if one travels in hot February. It is also so nicely located.
We loved Boullabaise restaurant which is a 3 min walk from the apartment. The Salmon Bar (also just 3 min walk) was also divine. Very well priced accommodation. |
