Located in Calitzdorp, Atara Cottage dates back to the days of the Great Depression and is located right in the center of town. The supermarkets, café, butchery and most of the restaurants are only a few blocks away.
Self Catering Accommodation
Atara Cottage is a quaint two bed roomed cottage. It is a self-catering unit with the most beautiful furniture and restored wooden floors. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom, two single beds. The well maintained bathroom has a shower and other basics.
The kitchen has all you may need including a washing machine. The dining room can seat six people. DStv is fully functional.
The garden brings home a feeling of tranquility with lots of shade trees for those lazy summer days. At the back of the house you will find a neat braai area and sturdy garden furniture. Two car ports are available.
The cottage is ideal for a family of four or a small group of friends. In the late afternoons you can relax on the ‘vour Stoep’ with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee.
Calitzdorp is a historic little village nestled between the Cango and Gamka Valleys and backdrop of the ‘Swart and Rooi Berg’ (Black and Red Mountains) in the background.
The renowned Route 62 runs through the village. Some of South Africa’s best wines are produced in the region with Boplaas and De Kranz to name but two of the wine estates.
Oudtshoorn with its ostrich palaces and the Annual National Arts Festival (KKNK) is only 47km away.
