Far away from the hustle and bustle of Jeffrey's Bay, yet near enough to enjoy its facilities, Artist's Paradise is a place to relax and to enjoy the calm and rural life. Artist's Paradise is a home-from-home farm-style guesthouse situated in the beautiful valley of Kabeljousriver - just a 5 min drive outside Jeffreys Bay and the beach. The guesthouse used to be a farm-house for nearly 100 years, but we succeeded in keeping the peaceful atmosphere. The art-studio of Adelheid Peltenburg is next to the guesthouse in the former horse-stable. Our artistic guests are free to make use of the studio. A selection of the paintings of Adelheid Peltenburg are exhibited [for sale] in the guesthouse. The farm has got a wide variety of nature: the wetlands of the Kabeljousriver, some original fynbos and rhenosterfields, dams and bushfields. The gentle sloping area surrounding the guesthouse has been ploughed and planted for grazing. Isolated clumps of indigenous shrubs have re-established on some lesser utilised areas of this wetland. ACCOMMODATIONDutch owner, Adelheid, offers comfortable en-suite bedrooms, lounge, dining-room with fireplace, library, TV room, covered vestibule, swimming-pool with covered bar-area and beautiful garden. Dinner is available on request. BREAKFASTWe serve a continental breakfast: bread or small loafs, jam, cheese, yogurt, cereals, eggs, juice, milk, coffee or tea. SERVICES & FACILITIESFully equipped indoor/outdoor studio Art supply shop and Art and curio shop Magnificent surrounding: beaches, mountains, forests, nature and game reserves. Gourmet food (European-Oriental cuisine) Swimming pool Peaceful, rural atmosphere The multi-purpose hall is suitable for parties and small conferences. Art workshops and 1-2 week art courses will be given on a regular base. Walking and fishing on the farm. Transfers and guided tours arranged. Dutch and German spoken. WEDDINGSWedding party for max 20 guests. This has to be something special and unique. The actual wedding ceremony in our subtropical garden under the palm trees or near our swimming pool. And afterwards a candle-light diner with in between a performance of a Xhosa-dance group. According to your wishes and our possibilities we will offer you a quotation and contact you with caterers. CONFERENCESArtist's Paradise is very suitable for business conferences for up to 12 persons. During the conference the farm house will be completely at your disposal: 6 bedrooms en suite, big lounge, tv room, dining room, veranda, bar, swimming pool and braai-places. The centre is the ideal place for brainstorming of making strategic plans. Especially for teambuilding we have excellent opportunities: for instance, creating a painting or sculpture in our indoor/outdoor studio.
