Hibberdene has become one of South Africa’s popular holiday destinations and is known for its affordability and the sheer beauty of its well-preserved assets. The village lies at the mouth of the magnificent Umzimai River. Hibberdene has five popular beaches, of which four are netted for safe swimming.
What makes Hibberdene’s beaches so popular is that the warm Indian Ocean flows across its shoreline. Therefore, diving, snorkelling and scuba diving are very popular.
