About Amanzi Empilo Bungalow
Amanzi Empilo means ‘healing waters’ in the native Xhosa language and is a true description of the location of the bungalow. It is hidden away around the bends of the Bell River. It is a mere stone’s throw away from the river which makes it the perfect break away for the fly-fisherman and mountain lover.
The bungalow is private and newly built and falls on the property of Grace Hill Farm. It is 1km off the main gravel road that passes the farm house.
The farm is 4km east of Rhodes village in the Eastern Cape Highlands. The mountains that surround the bungalow are the Southern Drakensberg, Maluti and the Witteberge. Tiffendell Ski Resort is 25km away and lies on the slopes of Ben Mcdui, the highest peak in the Cape (3001m). Naude’s Nek Pass is the highest pass in South Africa (2580m) and the base of the pass is just 8km away from the bungalow.
