About Alpha B&B
Alpha Bed and Breakfast is a two bedroom stone wall unit in the town of Sutherland. The unit has its own entrance.
Available on both a B&B and self catering option, Alpha Bed and Breakfast sleeps four guests. One room is furnished with a double bed and the other has two single beds.
There is also a divan in the lounge for a fifth guest. All beds have electric blankets and rooms are equipped with heaters.
The unit is DStv equipped and there is a fireplace in the lounge for those renowned cold Sutherland winter nights!
In addition to the fully equipped kitchen, there are also braai facilities in the garden. If it is too cold to sit outside there is also an indoor braai area in the garage.
Sutherland is well-known for its large telescope at the SALT observatory which is only 15 km from town. Day and night tours are also available at the observatory and it is worth a visit.
Other places worth visiting in Sutherland are the museum, the birthplace of the Afrikaans writers and poets, NP van Wyk-Louw and his brother, WEG Louw and the Dutch Reformed Church, with its beautiful organ and history of the Anglo Boer War.
Enjoy the peace and quiet that Alpha Bed and Breakfast has to offer.
