Nestled in the foothills of the Elands Valley, on the banks of the Elands River near Waterval Onder, lies Aloes Country Inn. Dave and Lona offer you a warm family feeling, where you can stay in quality rooms in tranquil surroundings overlooking the river, or enjoy the rustic feel of the Aloes Pub.
This is truly the gateway to the Louwveld, with the cliffs of the escarpment near by and the Elands Valley opening up in front, you are surrounded by the beauty of a unique ecology.
Our units all overlook the Elands river and we can offer self-catering or bed and breakfast options, we are idealy situated as a stop night over to or from Mozambique and the Kruger park.
We provide meals on request and have braai facilities should you rather enjoy the open outdoors with a late afternoon sun downer, outside the pub or near the river. We are happy to cater for the lone traveler, couples or groups and cater for large gatherings on arrangement.

There are many attractions and activities to experience in this beautiful part of Mpumalanga. We can offer the following reasons why you should come and visit us and share in our enthusiasm for our area.
There are approximately 700 routes to choose from and professional guides if requested with your booking that can be arranged to help you get the optimum benefit of these climbs.
There are several hiking trails in the area and are all accessible from the Aloes Inn. Climbing, hiking or sight seeing not your seen, then how about angling.
Trout & Yellow Fish:
Trout and Yellow Fish can be caught on our own stretch of the Elands river. (fly rods only and the yellows are catch and release).
Not a fisherman? Then why not arrive by bike? A number of biking routes within the area take you through beautiful scenery and winding roads. Pilgrims, Graskop and Sabie are easily within a few hours ride away. We welcome groups and are biker friendly.
Other close by attractions include the Elands river waterfall, Five arch bridge Sudwala caves and dinosaur theme park and of cause Kaapsehoop which is an historic mining town now famous for its wild horses.
