Albourne Guest House in Somerset West is a charming 4 Star Cape Dutch style residence set in large landscaped gardens close to Erinvale Golf Course where guests can enjoy our membership and play with a reduction on the green fees. Albourne is ideally situated in Somerset West on the road to the historic Vergelegen Wine Estate and Helderberg Nature Reserve; 20 min. from the airport and a good half hour from Cape Town. Albourne is run by Dutch owners, Joop and Trudy Weterings, who put a great accent on service to our visitors. AccommodationWe have 7 comfortable bedrooms, all en-suite and 10 spacious garden units, which are semi self catering, all have private patios. All rooms have coffee and tea facilities and the garden rooms TV and a safe. We offer secure parking for our guests. BreakfastBreakfasts are served on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool with lovely mountain views. FacilitiesOur spacious garden with swimming pool offers many opportunities to enjoy the African sun. On the large terrace covered with bougainvillea you can have your drinks and enjoy the mountain views. GolfMany excellent golf courses are nearby. The already mentioned international Gary Player designed Erinvale Golf Course is only 2 km up the road. Our guests can also play at Erinvale in high season, when it is closed for visitors. ServicesWe are happy to arrange all your golf bookings on the numerous other courses in the area. Tours and tour guides can be arranged as well as car hire at competitive prices. Your hosts will be delighted in helping you with your choice for the excellent restaurants, wineries and with all your other requests as German, Dutch, French and Spanish are spoken as well as the language of true hospitality.
