"à La Fugue" guesthouse - with its exceptionally green, beautiful garden, refreshing blue pool, thatched lapa and tropical island atmosphere - is a true refuge of friendly hospitality. Elegantly styled bungalows and bedrooms are named after great composers: wooden chalets "Rossini" and "Rusticana", studio bungalow "Mozart", and two bedroom family bungalow "Vivaldi" in the garden, are also self-contained and en-suite; "Chopin" and "Bach" are double en-suite bedrooms in the main house, with separate entrances and private patios.

Here, in a quiet and safe residential area, you can relax with a sundowner in the pool, listen to beautiful music or birdsong, and sit down to the finest continental gourmet dinners prepared by Jacqueline (by prior arrangement) and to a sumptuous breakfast-brunch in the morning. By appointment you can enjoy professional massage therapy.

For many regular visitors, "à La Fugue" is not merely a stopover, but a treasured holiday destination. Special deals are available for business guests. French and Swiss hostess Jacqueline Castella-Pujol, (also fluent in German & English), was herself once a tourist to this beautiful wild part of South Africa - so she well understands the needs of weary travellers, and caters for them excellently. She is always ready and happy to share her little paradise with her guests.

Accommodation

Each unit has been decorated and furnished with, shall we call it.. Love and Style, as well as a little something unique, in colours, comfort and the detail who makes the difference All four self catering units are situated in the garden, with their private terrace and barbecue area; they are equipped with air-conditioning, heaters, refrigerators, kettles, coffee machines, cookers, and necessary dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. A tea and coffee tray is also available.

The two rooms are situated inside the residence, but both have a private entrance through their little patio; a tea and coffee tray with kettle is available in the rooms; a refrigerator and microwave is also at their disposal next door, just outside the rooms.

VIVALDI:
Is a two bedrooms cottage, one with queen and the second with twin beds. The kitchenette is equipped as described above. The lovely bathroom is an en suite with a basin, WC, shower and a nice range of toiletries. Its private terrace has a beautiful view over the main garden.

MOZART:
Is a Bachelor flat with twin beds which can be transformed into king size. The kitchenette is equipped as described above. The en suite bathroom has a basin, WC, shower and a nice range of toiletries. It also has a little private terrace.

ROSSINI:
Is a big wooden chalet - Swiss like - but African decorated - with twin beds which can be transformed into king size. The kitchen corner is equipped as described above. The en-suite bathroom has a basin, WC, shower and a nice range of toiletries. It also has a nice private terrace under the trees.

RUSTICANA:
Our little Swiss - Heidi like - chalet is very affordable to low budgets. It has a double bed and the kitchenette is equipped as described above. The bathroom is private, just next door, with a basin, WC, shower and a nice range of toiletries. It also has a private terrace and garden corner.

BACH:
The "green room" with queen bed and bathroom en suite has a basin, WC, shower and a nice range of toiletries. Bach also has a private entrance towards its nice little patio under the trees.

CHOPIN:
The "yellow room" with both a queen and a single bed; the bathroom is door to door and private; equipped with a basin, WC, shower and a nice range of toiletries. Chopin also has a private entrance towards its nice little terrace overlooking the garden and the swimming pool.

Breakfast and Dining

A hearty breakfast-brunch is served in the morning with dinners by prior arrangement. Jacqueline will cook you a delicious continental (mostly French cuisine) "gourmet" dinner comprising, aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, wines and coffee. It is also possible to provide light meals or collations (prices to be discussed from case to case). Available nearby are also various restaurants, bistros & pubs within 3 to 10 minutes drive from à La Fugue.
