We are situated right on the beautiful and safe Ansteys bathing beach. Swimming on a lifeguarded beach, surfing, body and kite boarding, fishing and taking long walks on our wide sandy beach are a few of the activities. We have sunworshippers from far and wide, enjoying our good weather. Winters are mild and the water is warm.

Guests arriving at A Blue Yonder are amazed at how close we are to the beach (50 metres from the waters edge). The area, with its natural beauty of headlands and cliffs, allow for stunning views of the coastland at every turn. Surrounded by water on 3 sides, and resembling an island “Isibubulungu” is an increasingly popular tourist destination. View dolphins and whales, in season, surfers have experienced dolphins passing close by in the water.

Self Catering Accommodation


A Blue Yonder accommodation offers 3 units, which all have self-catering facilities. We cater for a couple, a family seeking a getaway plus businessmen and women amongst others. All units have their own facilities such as toilet / bath or shower en suite, own entrance, self-catering facilities such as fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, cutlery and crockery, plus linen. DStv, air con or fans are provided.

We offer safe onsite parking with automated gates. This is a very safe area and you can take long walks on the beach. Extremely relaxing.

The Apartments / Units


Ocean Apartment
An extremely spacious sea-facing suite. Large bedroom and lounge, fully fitted kitchen, bath with shower. There is a separate braai patio for your exclusive use. The Teak ornamental queen-size bed is a feature of the bedroom. This unit can sleep up to 4 guests comfortably.

Sea Shells
A 2-sleeper unit. Queen-size bed. It has a mini stove / oven, as well as all other features. Very private with its own braai patio and garden views. The unit can also fit an extra single bed if needed for a child.

Sea Breeze Cottage
Has magnificent sea views. You can lie in bed and watch the waves! Luxury queen-size bed. Separate from the other units, it has its own covered braai patio. It is cosy and quaint, perfect for the traveler seeking to explore our coast. It consists of 2 rooms, the first has the bedroom, with DStv, air con and en suite shower / toilet. The second contains a beautiful antique wardrobe, dining area, self catering facilities (mini stove oven, microwave, small fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans ). Short wooden stairway leads up to the entrance, giving this a wonderful sea view, overlooking the ocean. Accommodates 2 guests.

We have had many honeymoon couples staying here. The perfect venue, soak up the sun, enjoy the stunning sunrises and long beach walks. Warm healing golden sea sands, tranquil walks, golden sunrises, plus the melodic sounds of the sea that lull you to sleep at night! Things that money cannot buy!

While close to Durban (12 kms to Durban central) we are conveniently situated to all Durban and surrounding attractions e.g. Ushaka Marine World with its dolphin shows and other features; Moses Mabhida Stadium (arch with cable car trips, bungee jumping and many more activities), Aliwal Shoal which is renowned for its diving; Suncoast and Sibaya Casinos, Hari Krishna Temple, the colourful Botanic Gardens which is a refreshing escape from the hot summer days with its wonderful trees; Tala Game Reserve is 45 minutes drive away; very popular, abundant with wild animals.
