Mangrove Beach Estate is situated 150m from Banana Beach with a beautiful bathing area, tidal pool, lagoon and numerous rock pools to explore. It is conveniently positioned between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone on the unspoilt Hibiscus Coast on the Natal South Coast.
Self Catering Accommodation
Number 2 Umzumbe is a three bedroomed, two bathroom unit on the ground floor in this well maintained private estate. The air-conditioned unit is styled in elegant comfort that will make you feel right at home.
The three bedrooms are furnished to sleep six people. The main bedroom has en suite bathroom with shower while the second bathroom allows you the comfort of a bath after a day in the sun and sand.
The open plan kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher and microwave, with breakfast counter that separates the lounge area that opens onto the covered patio with view of the ocean.
A short walk on a private walkway provides access to the beach. You can braai on the comfort of the patio or utilise the facilities at the secure complex pool. The complex also offers a games room, equipped with table tennis and pool table, a small gym as well as laundry facilities.
The unit offers covered parking. No smoking in the unit. Full linen is supplied except towels, please bring your own.
Activities and Attractions
The Pitstop pub and restaurant is within walking distance, but you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment in the area. There are numerous golf courses in the area and a number of nature reserves between Scottburgh and Port Edward such as Lake Eland, Oribi and Mpenjati within 30 kilometers that provides hiking and abseiling opportunities.
The popular Protea Banks diving is close by and there is access to a number of deep sea fishing charters in the area. Day trips to either the Wild Coast Sun resort and casino or uShaka in Durban can provide a great change in scenery. Margate remains a popular attraction to visit during your stay.
A visit to the South Coast have to include dinner at Fish on the River in Port Shepstone, the famous Wafflehouse in Ramsgate and Mac Banana to name a few eateries in the area.
