Joe's style of photography is sensitive and allows for individuality on the wedding day.
"I believe that your wedding photographs should be romantic and uncluttered, they
must reflect the atmosphere and essence of your big day. The photographer is there to
capture the day, not to coordinate it – so I’ll always try to be as unobtrusive
as possible. I prefer the bride, couple and guests to be at ease in front of the lens, so
my shots are never too stylized and posed.
Except for documenting the flow of the day through pictures, I also capture those
unscripted, unforgettable little moments. Even the 'imperfections' of a location or the
occasional 'mishaps' of the wedding day, add to my style of photography. It makes things
more real when it’s portrayed truthfully, yet romantically.
Weddings are about love, joy and togetherness and that is what I aim to give back to you.
Through using different lenses, angles and sometimes breaking the photographic rules, I
provide you with the best (and only) lasting memory of your wedding day – your
photographs.”
Joe offers different packages with individual timing and pricing. He shoots digitally and
does a combination of black and white and colour photos. The client will be provided with
a selection of printed photographs as well as DVD’s with all the shots taken on the
day. Packages (can) also include either a custom made leather album or a coffee table
storybook. Joe makes his own enlargements on fine art paper and orders can be placed with
him after the wedding.
About Joe:
Joe completed a Bachelors of Fine Art Degree at Rhodes University, specialising in Fine
Art Photography. He has been a freelance photographer for the past eight years,
specialising in wedding photography and destination photography around South and Southern
Africa.
His work has been published in all the major South African bridal publications and in
other magazines such as Food & Home and Top Billing. In the UK his weddings have
appeared in You and Your wedding and In Style has carried his photographs in the USA.
