I am a retired corporate safety officer freelancing as a registered tour guide for Mpumalanga Province. My background is wildlife orientated, starting with my formative years in Uganda and Kenya and progressing to responsibility for collecting and recording biological data for a small game reserve in Kwekwe, Zimbabwe. I am based in Nelspruit and take small groups on guided trips to Kruger National Park, the panorama route (Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest and Waterfalls) and any other provincial destination clients may choose. I use my own air-conditioned sedan or travel with the clients in their vehicle; if numbers warrant it I hire a minibus. My style is one of personal attention and I accompany clients in all their public activities, even venturing on the various hiking trails on offer in, for example, the Mount Sheba Forest - I draw the line on my personal involvement in such activities as rock climbing, paragliding and free falling out of aircrafts! My special interest is in wildlife with a leaning towards birds. A typical itinerary might include two days (one night) in Kruger Park, one day on the panorama route, a leisurely morning hike at Mount Sheba and a comfortable day's tour of the Sudwala caves, an orange winery and the local reptile park or botanical gardens. We offer a professional guide service to the destination of your choice, either using our comfortable sedan or accompanying you in your own vehicle. We cover the whole of Mpumalanga so the options are numerous. (Only SATOUR accredited guides are used.)
