Your wedding day is probably going to be the most “special” day of your lives as a couple for some time. Months of planning and a lot of expense will go into making the day perfect. You will agonise over your choice of venue, your flowers, your menu and your colour scheme. For a little while after you will remember some of it but as the days go by, the guests who have travelled will be leaving, the dress will be packed away and all you will have will be the photographs and the video. Or will you?

Some couples believe they will just remember the day as it happens, not realising what a
blur the whole day can be. There are also times when they were not even at the scene, guests arriving for the service for example, or guests having cocktails while the couple are having photographs taken.

Wedding Videos

Your photographs will bring back some wonderful memories but nothing can capture the sights, the sounds and the feel of this once in a lifetime day quite like a video. You see yourself walking down the aisle with Dad, you hear those words “I DO”, you can re-live your first kiss as man and wife and feel again the excitement as you hear your guests greeting you as Mr and Mrs. Only on video can these moments be captured to make you laugh and cry again.

How we work

Satellite Projects has filmed over 400 weddings at most of the popular venues in and around Cape Town, as well as further afield to the Eastern Cape and Gauteng. Our aim is to blend into the surroundings and record your wedding day without you even being aware of us in the background. We try to attend the rehearsal so that whoever is conducting the service is comfortable with where we are going to be. It also gives us an opportunity to meet everyone involved before the big day.

On the day, we arrive about an hour prior to the service and we have no specific finishing time, preferring to stay until we have captured the full story, normally around 22h00 to 22h30.

We work with two, sometimes three, cameras and your edited video will comprise the best footage from each camera. We encourage our couples to provide a selection of music for the video and our editing style is to go with the feel of the wedding day and keep the video moving along, making it something you will enjoy watching time and again.
